Jason Robert Brown's new show, Honeymoon in Vegas, will hit the boards on Broadway in 2013.

This new musical version of the Castle Rock Entertainment Motion Picture of the same name features music and lyrics by Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown, of Parade and Last Five Years fame, a book by screenwriter/director Andrew Bergman, and direction by Tony-nominated musical The Color Purple's Gary Griffin.

Starring in the Nicolas Cage role of "Tommy Korman" will be TV-turned-stage-star Tony Danza. More casting and theatre location will be announced shortly.

Honeymoon in Vegas will have its world premiere in Toronto in November 2012 with a Spring 2013 opening on Broadway. For more information, visit the show's website.

'54 Below' Brings Broadway Stars to New Upscale Nightclub

Want to see your favorite Broadway stars and Tony Award winners up close and personal? Then get ready for showtune-filled nights at 54 Below.

A new Broadway nightclub, 54 Below is located near Times Square, just one floor below discotheque-turned-Broadway-theatre, Studio 54 -- hence the name. A handful of Broadway stars that will play here include Patti LuPone, June 5-16, Brian d'Arcy James June 26-30, Ben Vereen July 10-21, Megan Hilty July 24-28, and Julia Murney September 10 and 16.

54 Below will feature up to three shows per night, accommodating up to 144 people in the main dining room, with tables no more than 28 feet from the stage. According to the owners:

"54 Below is destined to become Broadway's living room; a home away from home for Broadway professionals and audiences that combines grace and style in an intimate environment."

The design team includes Tony Award winner for Scenic Design John Lee Beatty, architect Richard Lewis, Tony winner for Lighting Ken Billington, and Tony nominee for Sound Peter Hylenski. Scott Wittman,  Tony Award winning lyricist and "Smash" scribe, will serve as creative consultant.

54 Below will feature up to three shows nightly and will have a cover charge ranging from $30 to $70. This is much cheaper than a Broadway ticket and you'll be closer to your favorite Broadway star than ever before.

Race-y 'Clybourne Park' Still On for Broadway Opening

Jordan Roth of Jujamcyn Theatres issued a statement today stating that the dark comedy Clybourne Park will open on Broadway after all.

Between the sensitive topics of whites/blacks race relations and sudden cast changes, Clybourne Park's transfer from Los Angeles to Broadway seemed in jeopardy. But everything looks to be moving forward to a Broadway Opening Night of April 12, 2012, at the Walter Kerr Theatre at 219 West 48th Street.

Currently playing at Center Theater Group, Bruce Norris' Pulitzer Prize-winning play sets Act I in 1959 with Act II set in 2009. Loosely based on A Raisin in the Sun, Clybourne Park examines race tensions then and now in a provocative, biting comedic style that is suitable for adult audiences only.

Clybourne Park will play in L.A. until February 26th then move to Broadway. Tickets go on sale March 1, 2012.

'Book of Mormon' Tour Tickets On Sale - But Denver Sold Out!

Tickets for the national tour of 2011's Tony-winning, smash-hit farcical musical, The Book of Mormon, went on sale January 22nd and immediately sold out its first stop in Denver.

The Book of Mormon's Broadway national tour will open in Denver at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House and run from August 14 to September 2, 2012. Selling out the day the tickets went on sale, I asked over Twitter if they would add more shows. The rep for the @DenverCenter wrote: "@TrishCausey @BookofMormonBWY It's book[ed] in another city after us, but I'm sure it will be back in Denver." (Guess the chart-busting cast album will have to tide BOM-ers over!)

The BOM tour will be ringing doorbells in Los Angeles September 4 to November 11th, Chicago for the month of December 2012, Des Moines, IA, January 24th to February 3, 2013, and Minneapolis, MN, February 5 to 17th. To get tickets to one of the touring performances, visit BOM's tour page.

The Book of Mormon on Broadway won 9 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Director, Best Score, Best Orchestrations, Best Book, Best Sound, and Best Lighting.
